Thats motto for any fourth year these days except of course for dual degrees, fondly called “dullus”. And the worst thing is that I am not even doing what I love the most. My camera always remains at a safe distance from me . I have a few ideas but its so lazy these days that I just dont feel like going out there and doing anything. BTW the weather is just horrible these days and frequent power cuts in morning and evening only makes it worse. Though it forces all of us to come out of our dens and gives an opportunity to spend some time with our soon-to-be-parting-friends.

Lets just soak in the glory of last few months that are left in the college. After that we will be forgotten grains of sand in the desert of time.

This pic was taken while I was on the bike at 50-60 kmph and I had to lower my camera to shoe level and click without looking at the composition. I only wish I had held my camera horizontal to get a better view of surrounding. I make so many mistakes in composition and it takes me a while to learn from my mistakes. Such a silly ass I am.

Nothing else makes me happier nowadays but clicking.

Water Diamonds

I shot it with a DSLR sometime back in the last semester. I could have done better, as you can see very clearly that the focus is not very precise. The drops are a bit blurred but I love it. The drops are completely round and if I had focused better you would be able to see the reflections in the drop as well.

These days I haven’t been upto many things but photography. I have so many themes to cover but being a lazy ass I am only involved in endless BC sessions. And given that I am not placed yet, it seems to affect each and every thing that I do. I have no idea what the future has in store for me. People say, everythings happens for a reason and thats the only thing that helps me cope with my situations. And there are my friends, of course. They have been very supportive which is why they are friends otherwise I would be kicking their asses.

Its getting late now and I am getting very sleepy but somehow I dont want to go to bed. But I have to.

This is one of the pics on the trip to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Not to mention an awesome trip with awesome guys. For the day they made me forget my woes. Thank you guys.

Lately I have been reading a lot about photographic techniques like lighting, metering, focusing and stuff. Looks like the more I learn the less I know. I recently came to know about genres of photography that were completely new to me and are pretty artistic. Try looking for high key/low key photographs on google, I am sure they will impress you if you found the right pics. One thing that I have realized lately is that you dont need a very good camera to be a good photographer. The point here is that you may have a highly sophisticated camera but in the end what matters is how you take the photo. It’s not a magical device after all. Taking photographs is about having a perspective of your own and trying to present it to the viewer as you see them. Its not about having “eye”, its about having “imagination”. Hey I just made a pretty nice statement about photography .

You can go to gallery below and you will realize it too. He has used a very basic camera to take most of the shots but the result is astounding.

I have been out of touch of photography for so long that I thought I should celebrate my comeback. Well the celebration has just started and there are a lot more pics to come, hopefully .

This is one of my best shot of clounds and sun that I have taken till now. I just love the cloud formation. And in a way I want to live a life of them. I mean they are so random and they can visit any place on this earth. (I know its a bit childish but …) Other than this the color produced due to diffraction of sunlight is just amazing.

Something is Missing

The last week we went to Botanical garden as a part of photography club activity. As always we were only a handful but we enjoyed it thoroughly. The weather was just right and the lighting perfect. As we reached there we found out that our very own tollywood was already there shooting a film and a tv serial(not so sure abt this one). Though I didn’t recognise the telugu actors, but instantly recognised Mukul Dev. We came back a little before 2 PM.

We are planning a few more activities this month which will invlove the whole janta of IIIT. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that it takes place smoothly. Thats all about the photography club for now.

As for the picture above, as we were returning we accidently found it floating around in the lake and clicked it.

I think I should be studying and coding and not clicking everything I see. I mean its less than 2 months for my placements. Anyway you dont bother yourself about all this stuff. Have a great time.

A Life full of Thorns

Life is not a bed of roses. When one is out there on his own he faces all kinds of obstruction. One needs to make himself strong enough to not let these little things bother him.

As I have already said I am not a very philosophical kinda person please dont take my words too seriously.

Enjoy the moments, let there be peace.

PS1: Before I took this shot I only knew of one plant which is all thorns i.e. cactus.
